Finding Middle Ground Shay Sights catches her grounded stepdaughter Demi Hawks sneaking in. Shay tries to be understanding, but questions why Demi is always so rebellious these days. Demi insists that Shay is being way too overprotective. After some coaxing, Demi reveals that shes been sneaking out because she wants to explore her sexuality. Shay is supportive, but worried about what her husband Demis other parent will think. When Demi makes an offhand sarcastic joke about not being able to get what she needs at home, Shay jumps in and offers to explore with Demi.
