Always Been Close Its Prom night, the most magical night for many teens. Jenny Violet Starr is excited as she waits with her boyfriend, Brandon, while a photographer gets ready to capture some memorable shots before they head out. But its obvious that theres trouble in paradise between the young couple. Its even more evident when Jennys stepbrother, Ryan Jay Romero, soon joins them for the pictures and Jenny instantly lights up. The photographer gets to work and its easy to see how sweet Jenny and Ryan are together. Theyre so natural and close that the photographer accidentally mistakes them as being a couple! Jenny and Ryan both awkwardly laugh it off but, in the back of their minds, the photographers words have stirred something... When the trio later return after the Prom, the atmosphere is a tense one. Since its Prom night, Brandon gets a bit handsy with Jenny, obviously wanting more than shes willing to offer. Suddenly, Ryans intense protectiveness for his stepsister kicks in and, before he knows it, he delivers a solid punch that nearly knocks Brandon senseless. Although shes shocked, Jenny doesnt hesitate to follow after Ryan as he takes her hand and angrily leads her inside their home.
